My Heart Foundation

The My Heart Foundation takes aim at making hospital period bearable and enjoyable as far as possible for children who have to stay in hospital because of their heart surgery or need for chemotherapy.

About Us

The My Heart Foundation does not donate medicines or other medical aids, but donates modern games to the institutions. These games, for instance Sony PlayStation or Xbox, are more expensive than for example a building block, nevertheless these are more exciting for children, these give whirl of pleasures for them, which are jolly well contribute to their convalescence. Inasmuch as these children have to spend a long time – often months – at hospital, the opportunity of playing with these types of games, which perhaps are not feasible at home, have exceeding significance.

How can I offer 1% of my tax?

With an online customer portal

  1. Log in by May 21 to the website of the National Tax and Customs Administration through the customer portal
  2. Click on the purple “Nyilatkozom” button for 1+1%
  3. Select “Énszívem Alapítvány” in the orange “Display Search” menu or enter the foundation’s tax identification number, 18136816-1-42, into the tax identification number field.
  4. Click on the red “Mentés” button at the bottom, and then on the green “Tovább a beadáshoz” button.
  5. Finally, click the green “Beadás” button in the pop-up window, and you’re done.

Without a client portal

  1. Download the declaration
  2. Fill it out with your personal information
  3. Don't forget to sign the back of the envelope and write your tax identification number on it
  4. Send it by mail by May 10th (Mailing address: Nemzeti Adó és Vámhivatal (NAV) 1373 Budapest, Pf. 561.)

Radar - Virtual reality distracts children from pain - HÍR TV

Hungary is one of the first countries in the world to use VR devices for children, in order to to alleviate pain by distraction. Our Foundation donated one such device.

Gottsegen György National Cardiovascular Institute’s Pediatric Cardiology Center

We, together with Laki Zrt, took and repaired the inoperative toy cars at the Gottsegen György National Cardiovascular Institute’s Pediatric Cardiology Center so that the children recovering in the hospital can use them. Thank you once again for everyone’s help! is!

The Gottsegen György National Institute of Cardiology, Pediatric Heart Center

We returned to the Gottsegen György National Institute of Cardiology, Children’s Heart Center, and brought along 2 VR headsets there too. We hope to alleviate the healing process for the children here as well. We are grateful to Dr. Zsolt Prodán, Head Nurse Ilona Szász, and Zsanett Császár. Laki Zrt. and others continue to support us, for which we are also thankful.

Semmelweis University 2nd Department of Pediatrics

We revisited the section for children with cancer and leukemia at the Pediatric Clinic of Semmelweis University on Tűzoltó Street and brought 2 Meta Quest VR goggles. We hope that it will help in the healing process even if only a little. Thanks to Laki Zrt and others for supporting us in our actions. Special thanks to Dr. Miklós Garami and Head Nurse Elvira Berecz for always taking the time to support and help us.

Second Department of Pediatrics, Semmelweis University

After prior consultation and coordination with Dr. Garami Miklós, we visited one of the largest child oncology centers again. We extended the wifi network which had been implemented earlier and brought a more up-to-date Sony Playstation with exciting games. With this we would like to assist the children with cancer in their recovery. We also appreciate the support of Laki Zrt.

Second Department of Pediatrics, Semmelweis University

Our foundation visited the Second Department of Pediatrics, Semmelweis University, which is the largest pediatric oncology in Hungary. After the appointment with Dr. Miklós Garami, the Én Szívem Foundation has donated and equipped a Sony PlayStation 3, a MicroSoft Kinect, a Toshiba LEDTV, a PS3, an XBox 360 and a complete WiFi system in the institution, thus the whirl of pleasures is provided by the modernest and the most interesting games which help cancerous children in convalescence.

Our foundation has given further donation to the Centre for Pediatric Cardiology on 17 August 2010. We intended the 2 pieces of Sony Play Station – with conformable games – to children, who have heart transplantation and they have to convalesce in aseptic rooms or attached to mechanical heart. Our aim was that they could have a good hospital period also alone, because they do not be able to play with the other children or they are immovable…

Our Foundation visited the Gottsegen György Hungarian Institute of Cardiology, Centre for Pediatric Cardiology, where the head of the institute, Dr. István Hartyánszky willingly received our offering. The My Heart Foundation has donated an XBox 360 Elite game console, a big screened Samsung LCD TV and additional XBox 360 games to the Department of Pediatrics. The children took delight in the donations.
